The donation was within the context of a visit to the community, led by its Chief Executive Officer, CEO of SAMDA Foundation Cameroon, Elvis SAMA, and Field Coordinator of
the foundation, KEGAH Kelvin GUKA. According to the donors, the gesture is to assist kids blocked at home due to the armed conflict in the North West and South West Regions. The goal, officials of SAMDA Foundation Cameroon said, is to ensure a good start of the 2024/2025 academic year. In a statement, the CEO of the foundation said: “We believe in the potential of every child and that education is the key to unlocking that potential. Yet, due to financial constraints, education is an unattainable luxury for many children, especially with the ongoing crisis”.
Commitment to empowering communities
Investing in the future of children, SAMA also said, is part of SAMDA Foundation Cameroon’s
commitment to empowering communities through education, advocacy and other activities.
“Through this program, we intend to encourage the less privilege as well as orphans to have
access to education, which is part of their fundamental rights,” Sama remarked.
